► Personality & Background: The game doesn't reveal a great deal about Izlude's background. He is the son of Vormav Tingel, the leader of the Murond Glabados Church/Church of Glabados' Knights Templar, and Meliadoul's younger brother, as well as a member of the Knights Templar himself and one of the new Zodiac Braves, carrying the Pisces Stone until he gave it to Alma to give to Ramza.
Although Izlude served a corrupt church, it seems he was completely unaware of the truth and blindly followed his father's orders. Based on their interaction, it's possible that he feared his father's disapproval and wanted to please him as well. In battle and when giving instructions to his men, Izlude's behaviour is confident and he's a skilled fighter, but in front of his father, especially when he has obviously disappointed Vormav by losing two Zodiac Stones, he comes across as somewhat meek.
Izlude had complete faith in the church's teachings and while his intentions were decent, he was still willing to kill for what he thought to be a just cause. He was convinced that the church had the people's best interests in mind and everything they were doing was for the greater good; even that war was simply a necessary step to take towards creating a world where everyone would be equal, as "change does not come without cost! Revolution requires martyrs, and we require revolution!" Until he witnessed the Stones' ability to display terrible power with his own eyes (unfortunately a little too late for him), he stubbornly refused to believe Ramza that they could summon Lucavi and were far from having anything to do with divine miracles then.
Upon discovering that his own father had become possessed by a Lucavi, Izlude was determined to stop him, but he was mortally wounded in the process and died soon after. His final moments showed that he genuinely seemed to want a good outcome for Ivalice and realized that there was more going on than he had been aware of after all. If he had survived, it's likely that he would have joined Ramza's cause, like his sister, but adjusting to the whole truth and letting go of everything he was taught to believe would probably still have taken some time.
